Lance has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. He established his practice in 1997, which became the Lance Hocutt Financial Group in September 2015.
Lance earned a bachelor’s degree in financial planning from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in financial planning from Texas Tech University. He completed his doctoral studies in financial planning at Texas Tech University and completed his Ph.D. in March of 2023. Lance carries the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, which empowers him with the fiduciary knowledge and tools needed to serve his clients’ best interests. As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Lance has in-depth knowledge of the needs of individuals both before and after retirement, and he engages in retirement planning for a variety of important issues; some of these issues include sources of retirement income, employer-sponsored retirement plans, tax planning, retirement cash flow, asset management, estate planning and more.
Dedicated to giving back, Lance has given his time and support to many different community events and organizations, including the DCH Breast Cancer Foundation, DCH Sports Medicine Fun Run, DCH Pastoral Care Fund, Tuscaloosa Mayor’s Cup, Read Bama Read, Tuscaloosa Half Marathon and the Tuscaloosa County School System. He is a benefactor of Wine Women & Shoes for the Shelton State Community College Foundation. He is also an Adopt-A-School partner with Hale County High School through the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, providing support for the faculty, staff, and students of the school system. He has previously served on the board of directors for the University of Alabama Medalist Club and is currently an at-large member of both Sweet Water Outreach and the Police Athletic League of Tuscaloosa.
Lance has been married to his high school sweetheart, Celeste, for more than 32 years and together they have four children: Maggie, Laney, Will, and Jamie. Lance is also a member and deacon of the Five Mile Primitive Baptist Church.
Reagan began working as the Marketing Director and Client Service Associate for our team in September 2017. She completed a Master’s Degree in Family Financial Planning and Counseling from the University of Alabama in December 2020 and obtained her Series 65 license in May 2021 and her Series 7 in 2022. Reagan is eager to continue learning and gaining experience through this role and is excited to continue building relationships with the individuals in our community. In April of 2023, Reagan became the V.P. of Operations for the firm handling all back-office transactions and workflow development. As a Financial Advisor, Reagan is here to serve our clients and help individuals see the path to their financial future.
Reagan grew up in and currently resides in Gordo, Alabama. Outside of work, Reagan is an active member of the Gordo Area Chamber of Commerce and a fitness coach at The Box, a CrossFit gym in Gordo. She is a member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Echola, Alabama.
Noah began his tenure with the Lance Hocutt team as an intern in May 2021. He officially joined the team as a Client Services Associate in the Fall of 2021. Currently, Noah completed a Bachelor of Finance degree from The University of Alabama in 2022. He is currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree Program in Family Financial Planning and Counseling at The University of Alabama.
On a personal note, Noah grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As most T-town locals, he is passionate about Alabama Athletics, specifically football and basketball. He enjoys spending time outdoors and with his friends. Noah is a member at Circlewood Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
